- Dave Kavich
- I was the writer and lead male vocalist in Covenant in 1975 (when the album was made) and 1976. Since then I have had a varied career and have always written songs. My most successful song was "When The Time Comes" which appeared on two of Sandi Patti's albums, "Love Overflowing" and "More Than Wonderful." I'm currently interested in re-entering Christian Music and songwriting. In the mean time I'm practicing as a substance abuse therapist in a prison. I've been married to another Covenant member (yes, it's the female!), Lorri Hogue, since 1977. We have two boys born in 1980 and 1983, Ryan and Andy. Ryan is a gifted guitarist and composer, songwriter, and guitar arranger. Andy plays a very artful bass, plays guitar, is also a gifted writer, and sings.

I (Dave Kavich from Indianapolis, Indiana) was on lead male vocals and guitars. Lorri Hogue from Anderson, Indiana (now Lorri Kavich -- touring with chicks can be dangerous!) played some of the piano tracks and sang the female lead on "Love The Lord". Duane "Dewey" Elsworth from Summitville, Indiana was on background vocals and bass. Mike Jones, also from Anderson, was on background vocals, some of the acoustic guitar, and sang the male lead on "Love The Lord". Kevin Brown of Wichita, Kansas played electric lead guitar. He also played pedal steel on "Glory Train".
There will be more material on the band, its history, and the members in days to come.
It may be dangerous (traveling with chicks)but I'd be willing to say you are probably not regretting it either. :)
You've got a great start. Hope to hear more as the days go by, music too.
